Dixie Dawn Duncan Summers passed on from us at her home after a short illness on Wednesday, March 20, 2019. Dixie was born on June 2, 1956 - the baby of Carma and Howard Duncan along with four siblings Scott, Judy, Rocky and Ronnie. They all grew up on the farm and after graduating from Burley High School, Dixie went to college and completed a year. She then dove right into the banking business, found she had a knack for it and quickly climbed the ladder. lt was here that she found her true love, John Vergopia. They were over the phone business partners until John jumped on a plane from Florida to meet her in Utah. From there, it just got better.
They had one child, Kendle Dawn Vergopia and Dixie inherited two step sons, Anthony and James. They lived in Scottsdale, Arizona. They loved to scuba dive in Puerto Rico and camp for weeks with their friends. Later, Dixie discovered a love for making jewelry. She also loved to read, and loved all her beautiful flowers, and knew slot about them.
She was very blessed with grandchildren. Five from her son Bucky and his wife Trista, Mazin Hoss 3 months, Zan Den 12, Kysen 6, Junee 13 and Tana 10, three from her daughter Kendle and her husband Alexis 11, Ayla 8 and Tre 7.
We spend a lot of time with her, but it doesn't seem to be near enough. She was a link that kept the chain together. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. You will always be in our hearts. Enjoy the next unknown part of your journey. The rest of us are right behind you. We know you're not far....we love you always. See you soon.
No public services are planned at this time.
