Long time resident of Burley, Idaho – Nona Ada (Durfee) Drussel, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at the Cassia Regional Medical Century. She was born on October 27, 1931 in Buhl, Idaho to Ralph W. and Kturah M. (Millard) Durfee. She was raised in Almo and eventually moved to Burley. She married Leonard Jay Drussel on October 1, 1948 in Elko, Nevada.
She is survived by her daughter Dorothy Gayle (Clark) Dickson, of Burley. Five grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Wanda (Leland) Coffman and three brothers, Cliff (Ruth) Durfee, Eldon (Rowene) Durfee and Bill (Elberta) Durfee and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Leonard Jay Drussel; a son, Jason O. Drussel, her daughter Corinne Braegger, brothers Ralph and Raymond(twins), Dean and Denny Durfee(twins), Lonnie Durfee, sisters, Cleo Eccleston(a twin), Rhoda Weber, Barbara Ward and Thelma Weldin.
Nona loved to hunt and fish and loved time with her family. In her later years, she lived with her daughter Gayle Dickson and her husband Clark and eventually had to enter a care center. Pomerelle Place and Highland Estates in Burley. Thank you to the staff for the love and care they gave her and thank you to friends and family for your love and support. She enjoyed companionship with Wendell Anderson, Calvin Drussel and Gene Drussel.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 13. 2019 at the Morrison Payne Funeral Home in Burley. A viewing will take place for one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will take place in the Riverside Cemetery in Heyburn, Idaho immediately following the funeral. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Payne Funeral Home in Burley.
