In Loving Memory of Bonifacio Mejia, also known as Boni

Boni Mejia peacefully passed away from this life on the evening of May 8, 2025, at his home, following a gradual decline in health. He was surrounded by the love and support of his family and a devoted hospice nurse during his final days.

Born in Eagle Pass, Texas, Boni made Idaho his home in 1961, where he lived the remainder of his life. He was a genuinely kind and considerate person, always willing to lend a helping hand. His generosity and warmth touched many, leaving lasting impressions on those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Boni found joy in the simple pleasures of life- mowing lawns, riding his bike, and fishing. These activities brought him peace and happiness, and they reflected his love for the outdoors and his appreciation for the beauty of everyday moments.

Boni is survived by his beloved brothers, Santos Mejia and Raymundo Mejia, as well as his cherished nieces and nephews. His absence leaves an undeniable void, but his spirit will continue to live on in the memories of those who loved him.

You will be missed forever and always, Boni. The beautiful moments you shared with us will never be forgotten.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at Morrison Payne Funeral Home. Viewing for family and Friends will be held from 6:00- 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 20, 2025, also at the funeral home and for one hour prior to the services. Services will conclude with burial in the Pleasant View Cemetery under the direction of Joel Heward Morrison Payne Funeral Home.
