Bonnie Porter Obituary

Bonnie Porter (Anderson), 89, of Burley, Idaho, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2026.

Bonnie was born and raised in Delco, Idaho, on her family’s ranch, where she developed the strong work ethic, resilience, and love of family that defined her life. On June 6, 1954, she married the love of her life, Nile Porter, and together they built a beautiful family. Bonnie was a devoted mother to Willis “Lee” (1955), Bonnie Nilene (1958), and Ida “Lorie” (1963).

After moving to Boise, Bonnie began a long and dedicated career with Intermountain Gas Company, where she worked in the print department for 36 years. She took immense pride in her work and the friendships she built along the way. Never one to slow down, Bonnie continued working for another 20 years at Walmart in Caldwell, Idaho, proving that her energy and determination were truly unmatched.

Family was the center of Bonnie’s world. She rarely missed a skating event when her grandchildren were young and could always be found cheering them on with pride. She treasured time spent with her loved ones, creating memories that will be cherished for generations. Bonnie also had a spirited side — she enjoyed trying her luck at the slot machines and spent countless joyful weekends doing arts and crafts with her sisters.

Bonnie is now going home to heaven, reunited with her parents, siblings, her beloved husband Nile, and her son Lee. She leaves behind her loving sister, Deloa Zimmerman (Zeke); her daughters, Nilene and Lorie; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family members who will deeply miss her warmth, strength, humor, and unwavering love.

Bonnie’s life was one of dedication — to her family, to her work, and to living fully. Her legacy of hard work, laughter, and devotion will continue to shine through all who knew and loved her.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
