Donald Lee Friedrich

Donald Lee Friedrich age 81, of Burley, got to move to heaven August 29, 2021. Donald was born May 8, 1940 to Lawrence and Dorothy Friedrich in Bell City, Missouri. He was the oldest of their six children. Around 1956, the family moved to Idaho, where Don met and married his Angel, Elaine Hatfield Friedrich on May 27, 1962. In July of 1962 Donald enlisted in the Army National Guard, his service to his country ended July 1968. He became a father for the first time, Lorinda Lee in March of 1963, again in June of 1965 when Eva Shavonne arrived, and May 1969 with Sabrina Gay. They raised the girls in Burley, Idaho until 1976 when the family moved to Missouri for two years. Upon their return to Idaho Don resumed working at Ore-Ida foods. When he retired after 33 years of french fries, he was invited to join the Bonanza Motors Team, for the most fun he was ever paid to have! Don enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, woodworking, and being with friends and family. 
Donald is proceeded in death by his parents, his Angel, one grand-daughter, two sisters, and two brothers-in-law.
He is survived by his daughters Lorinda (David) Tolman of Burley, Shavonne Friedrich of Burley, Sabrina MyRick of Rupert, seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and his beloved dog Lucy.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Morrison Payne Funeral Home in Burley.  Urn placement will take place in the Declo Cemetery following the memorial service.  Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Payne Funeral Home.
