Doneva Sayler

Doneva Sayler passed away Friday, March 11th, 2022 at St Luke’s Magic Valley Hospital.  She was born November 19th, 1947 in Advance, Missouri to Lawrence and Dorothy Friedrich. Doneva was the 4th of 6 children born into the Friedrich family, Donald, Kathleen, Wanda, Doneva, Brenda and Ralph. Growing up in Missouri, she had the honor of attending an actual “One Room Schoolhouse”. In 1958 her family moved to Burley, Idaho where she attended Burley schools, graduating from Burley High School in 1965. While living in Burley, she met the love of her life, Donald (Don) Sayler when he moved in across the street. Don quickly swept Doneva off her feet and they were married on April 3rd, 1966. They went on to have 3 wonderful children, Doug, Debbie and DeeAnn. Family always came first in Doneva’s life. She was a wonderful cook and made the best Peanut Brittle ever. She is survived by her husband Don Sayler, her son Doug Sayler and daughter DeeAnn Dixon (Jerry), sister Brenda Bettis and brother Ralph Friedrich (JoAnn). Grandchildren, Eric Orton (Cydney), Colby Sayler (Maddi), Jayla Sayler, Jesse Sayler, Lukas Smedley, Jaxson Smedley, Alec Dixon, Breeana Dixon and great grandson Aiden Sanchez . She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Dorothy Friedrich, brother Donald Friedrich (Elaine), sisters Kathleen Dick (Glenn), Wanda Powers (Ernie), and her daughter Debbie Smedley and granddaughter Nicole Sayler.

Doneva was deeply loved by everyone who knew her, she was a gentle, caring soul that will be missed by all.  

There are no services planned at this time.  Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Payne Funeral Home in Burley.
