Dorothy Berry Obituary

Our loving mother, grandmother and sister,  Dorothy May Berry, 79 year old Burley resident, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Countryside Care Center in Rupert.  She was born March 29, 1935 in Iron County, Missouri, the daughter of Walter and Pauline Cooper Miles.  She married Junior Asher on June 20, 1953 in Boss Missouri.  They later divorced.  She then married Oscar Berry in September 1974 and was later divorced.  She moved to Burley in 1977 where she worked for Ore Ida for 10 years.  She also was a housekeeper in Sun Valley for Joann & Buck Levy.  Dorothy loved to travel, camp, hiking and especially loved horses.  She was an avid reader and very talented with her hands doing embroidery.  She will greatly be missed by all her family and friends.  She is survived by her children; Gary (Debbie) Asher of Twin Falls, Katherine Stout of Gooding, Janet Berry of Burley, Brenda (Russell) Frazier of Burley, Victoria Asher of St. Louis, Missouri and David Asher of Wendell; her brother, Walter Miles of Burley.  Her ex husband, Junior Asher of Missouri.  14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter also survive her. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, her second husband Oscar Eugene Berry.  “Mom, I won the bet about the red hair.”  We love you Robot Grandma!!  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, February 15, 2015 at the Morrison Payne Funeral Home, 321 East Main Street in Burley with her Brother in Christ, Eloy Granados, officiating.  Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 16, 2015 at the Grandview Cemetery in Elba.  Friends may call Sunday from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m at Morrison Payne Funeral Home prior to the funeral.  Family suggests that memorials be donated to donor’s choice of charity.
