Gary Clark Obituary

Gary Oliver Clark graduated peacefully to heaven on Friday, March 11, 2022, at home in Burley.

Gary was born September 7, 1940, in Lakota, North Dakota to Oliver "Bud" and Vollie Clark. In 1949, the family moved to Burley. Gary had a love for cars and motorcycles, however on June 19, 1960, he gave his heart to his greatest love Jesus. In 1961 Gary went to Southwestern Bible College in Texas. His true passion was preaching the gospel, having pastored the Church of God in Rupert and then the New Life Assembly of God in Albion which later relocated to its current location on the Rupert-Heyburn highway.  In addition, Gary was blessed to make three missions trips to the Philippines, the first with his father and wife.  He retired from the ministry in 2010.
In 1965 he met the love of his life, Audrey Cunha, and they married in 1967. They were blessed with their daughter Shela in 1969 and their son Gary on the same date in 1970.
Gary's working career over the years included owning the Chevon station at the Heyburn interchange, at Simplots, and selling cars at Don Ovitt Chevrolet in Burley.
He is survived by his wife, Audrey; children Shela Clark and Gary (Michelle) Clark; grandchildren Missty (Brandon) Rosen, Derek, Cody, Brandon, Alec and Camron Clark; great grandchildren Eli, Aden, Mya and Zoe Rosen; and siblings Dale Clark, Janice Pruitt and Marilyn (Joe) Hoosier. He was preceded in death by his parents Oliver and Vollie; two brothers, Stan Clark and Harry Clark; his mother-in-law, Dolly Lewis; a grandson Brad; brothers-in-law Merrell Cunha, Jim Cunha and Jerry Pruitt; and sisters-in-law, Pauline Morgan, Brenda Clark and Velda Clark.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 19, 2022, at New Live Assembly Church in Heyburn with Pastor Dan Hendricks officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Payne Funeral Home in Burley.
