Gladys was born Feb 26, 1931 to Bill and Minnie Christenson in Heyburn, Idaho. She was loved and cherished through her childhood by her siblings and parents. Gladys attended High School and College, receiving her credentials to teach elementary education. She loved teaching and was an excellent loving teacher. Gladys loved to share testimony of Jesus Christ by her example, her word, and her deeds. She served in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in many callings and leadership responsibilities. She especially loved serving as the primary chorister. She served many full-time missions. A homemade loaf of bread was her calling card. She often sent her children to deliver a loaf to those whom she felt needed to know they were loved.           

Gladys was sealed to Rollo Harrison in 1960 in the Idaho Falls Idaho Temple. Over the years six children entered their union, Kaye Dean, David, Lauril, Kriston, Carol, and Steven. Gladys loved teaching her children the gospel of Jesus Christ, to work hard, and to never give up.

There is a sweet reunion going on with those who have preceded her in death, her spouse, Rollo, and two sons, Steven, and Kaye Dean.

Gladys's legacy is her children, grand-children, great grand-children, and her testimony of Jesus Christ which she shared with everyone.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at the Burley 7th Ward Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2200 Oakley Avenue in Burley.  A viewing for family and friends will be held from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, prior to the funeral.  The burial will take place at the Riverside Cemetery in Heyburn following the funeral service. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Payne Funeral Home in Burley.
