Isabel Jasso-Vaquera

Isabel Jasso-Vaquera, 82 of Boise, Idaho went home to our heavenly father on Friday, June 26, 2020.

Isabel was born April 12th, 1938, the oldest girl of 7 children, to Roberto and Emma Jasso, in McAllen, Texas. She traveled with her parents who were migrant workers and moved between, Texas, Idaho, and Oregon. She met and married the love of her life, Sebastian "Tano" Vaquera on August 10, 1960 in Payette, Idaho, to this union was born 3 sons, Sebastian Jr., Roberto, and Juan Carlos.

Tano and Isabel settled in Declo, Idaho in 1967 where she went to work for Ore-Ida until retirement.  Isabel loved to go dancing with her beloved Tano, do embroidery work, cooking, doting on her husband, sons, and grandchildren, and just enjoyed life itself.

She is survived by two sons, Roberto (Melody) Vaquera and Juan Carlos, two grandsons, Cody (Jordan)Vaquera, Jacob Vaquera; four granddaughters, Cozette (Jake) Vandwerwal, Whitney (Chris) Pollard, Andrea Gustin and Linda Crystal Vaquera, two great grandsons, three great granddaughters, three sisters, Carol, Emma, and Mary, and two brothers, Pete and Joe.

She is proceeded in death by her loving husband Tano, one son, Sebastian Jr, her parents, Roberto and Emma, and one brother, Robert and grandson, Antonio.

The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to Doctors Hospice, nurses, aides, and directors, and to Linda Miller for all the love and compassion you gave to our mother in her final days.

A viewing will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at the Morrison Payne Funeral Home in Burley.  A funeral mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 2, 2020, also at the funeral home.  Services will conclude with burial in the Declo Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the care and direction of Morrison Payne Funeral Home.
