As we reminisce your life, we see you making tortillas as we prepare to go work in the fields, knowing your tacos were always the best. Your meals were culinary and never disappointed. Mom, you were so tireless in raising us from making tamales at Christmas, crocheting doilies for your mesitas, always taking along an extra grandkid on vacation, rolls of nickels for everyone after your trips to Jackpot, curando us with sana, sana, colita de rana and sangre de chango.
Mom had a strong Catholic belief and participated in the guadalupanas, making ground beef for tacos at the fairgrounds, being devout and always helping out at church.
The bendiciones extended through us down to our children, grandchildren and all six generations. You are, and always will be the bond that unites us as family. Thank you Madre, as you leave we will stay and make our own legacy within our families and try to make you proud as you watch down over us. As you always said, “thank you for coming and thankyou for going.”
