Kathy Korb

Kathleen M. Jackson Korb was born on May 29, 1949 and died October 4, 2015. She was born in Burley at the Cottage Hospital to Layne GE Jackson and Esther May Tolman. She grew up in Arco, Idaho loving horses, 4H and bowling, receiving many trophies with even a 300 game. She was an only child and kept busy with lots of animals having several great dogs as pets. Later as a teen, she moved to Burley to live with her Aunt Fay and Uncle John. Working at the Oregon Trail she met Bruce Korb and they were married in 1968. Later that year along came Michelle and then Leon in 1973. Kathy and Bruce had many loves in life including antiques. They traveled the countryside picking and buying wonderful treasures to refinish and sell. They owned and operated Korb's Antiques and for over 40 years was a member of the Antique Gallery in Idaho Falls making many more great friends. Kathy also helped her parents with their rock and gem shop. Over the years, mother's health had worsened but she still went to do things. Family dinners, spending time with grand kids and of course going to get commodities for her many friends she made at Syringa Plaza where she lived her last years. She loved her granddaughters Brooke and April and three great grandkids Riylee, Aleigh and Kynzlie. She had met, loved and enjoyed many friends at the coffee shop where they spent time and the many antique craft shows and network marketing events she attended.

She is survived by one daughter, Michelle Bobby Roberts of Paul and a son, Leon Korb of Paul. Two granddaughters Brooke and Andrew Ploof of Rupert, April Roberts of Paul and three great grand kids, Rylee Waters and Aleigh and Kynzlie Ploof. She was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband of 45 years and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at the Mountain View Christian Center on Monday October 12, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jim Powell officiating.
