LaMont R. Dudley (Mont, Superdud, Dudley, Dud) passed away Friday, June 28, 2024. He was 79.

Mont was born December 9, 1944 to Frank and Rhoda Ann Wells Dudley. He joined a brother Ed. His sister, Rosemary died at birth. Ed and Mont were later joined by a sister, Karen Ann and a brother, Ivan.

Mont was raised and educated in Burley, graduating from high school in 1963. While in high school, he joined the Army National Guard where he served for 9 1/2 years. He was also a member of the Air Guard for a time.

Mont worked for the City of Burley, Feeders Grain, J & M Trucking, Simplot Livestock, Ore Ida Trucking later known as J.B. Parsons and Ag Express. He retired from Ag Express and started seasonal driving for Darren Day.

He fished for halibut and king salmon in Alaska and marlin and sailfish in Mexico. These trips were some of the highlights of his life. Mont also loved watching The Price Is Right, John Wayne movies, Boise State football, NHRA drag racing, driving truck (but not in the winter) and puttering around in the yard. He took great pride in the way his lawn looked and spent most every day, when not working for Darren, working in the yard. Mont was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
