Laren Harrison

Laren Dwayne Harrison, son, brother, uncle, friend and Earthly angel, passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at his home in Burley, Idaho, surrounded by loved ones.

Laren was born December 7, 1963, in Rupert, Idaho to Dwayne B. & Sharon Koyle Harrison.

Laren started school at age 3 and completed high school at Minico High School.  After high school Laren enjoyed the company of his many friends at M.D.C., an adult learning center. Laren worked at the D.I. sorting clothing, and for a local company sorting bolts.

One of Laren’s favorite pastimes was attending many ball games, wrestling matches, recitals, and performances to cheer for his nieces, nephews, and friends. He was one of the Utah Jazz, and BYU’s biggest fans.  Laren loved repetition and wore through hundreds of decks of cards and magazines.  Laren also loved to go to church and sit in his spot on the back row so he could greet all his friends with a handshake as they came and went.

Laren filled many hearts with joy during his 57 years on Earth. We will greatly miss his handshakes and smiles.

Laren is survived by his mother, Sharon Harrison, his three sisters Marla Helms, Tonya (Nick) Durfee, and Roxann (Kerry) Searle, all of Burley, seven nephews, six nieces, and twenty one great nieces and nephews.

Laren is preceded in death by his father, Dwayne Harrison, his grandparents Austin & Edith Harrison, Eldon Koyle, and Ruth & Robert Moncur, his niece Angela Durfee and nephew Albert Durfee.

The funeral will be held at 11am, Friday, March 19th at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints- View building, 554 S. 490 E. Burley, Idaho, with Bishop Kevin Schroeder officiating.  Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery, in Burley.

Friends may call at the View LDS church building from Thursday, March 18th, from 6pm – 8pm and from 10am- 10:45am Friday preceding the funeral services at the church.
