Makayla Erickson

Makayla Renee entered this world on September 29, 1998 with a big bang red hair and feisty from the beginning.  She was welcomed by an excited mommy Lacey Erickson, first time grandparents, many aunts and uncles and her father, Kimber Marston.  She touched everyone with her big heart and gorgeous smile!

She was born in Rupert, Idaho then lived in Gooding, Idaho and Burley, Idaho before moving to Idaho Falls where she attended Lincoln High School where she made many friends that she cared for.  Makayla loved music, singing, art, being with her friends and inspiring people.  In 2014, Makayla started a self-harm group that is still going today and then started administrating a self-harm Facebook page and helping others she never met.

Makayla was the big sister to three brothers, Jeris and Joe Wilbank and Zaidin Erickson.  She loved all three so much.  She is survived by her mother, brothers and her father; grandparents Ted and Becky Erickson, Jackee Fairchild, and great grandmas, Betty Erickson and Lana Teal.  She was loved by lots of aunts, uncles and cousins.  She had a lot of family that cared about her and that she loved and loved her unconditionally.

She was preceded in death by her aunt Victoria Erickson, great grandma Edith Chugg, her favorite grandma Renee Erickson and great grandpa Vealton Teal.

Makayla Renee came into this world changing lives.  She left this world with an even bigger bang, saving so many lives.  Special thanks to Georgia and Terry Grau, Betty Erickson, John and Cheri Cox, Edie Erickson, Hospital Staff and EIRMC and Morrison Payne Funeral Home.

A viewing for family and friends will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Morrison Payne Funeral Home, 321 East Main Street in Burley.  Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 26, 2016 also at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Rupert Cemetery, immediately following the service.
