Maria Luisa Rodriguez, age 80 passed away peacefully August 23, 2023. She struggled with cancer for the last 5 months. Luisa was born December 14,1942 to Longino Orozco and Juana Perez.
Luisa was a hard worker, before marrying she started working in the fields as a young girl until she got hired at Ore-Ida and worked there for 5 years. While working she met the love of her life George A Rodriguez Jr. and they eloped together arter 6 months of meeting. They were always together and went everywhere like going fishing, camping and going to casinos. Luisa loved sewing, crocheting, gardening, doing word search books and spending time with her family and friend. Her grandkids were everything for her.
Luisa had three children, Josie Rodriguez, Maria Elena who die at birth and Lucy Salinas. Luisa also had 3 step children Susana Epperson, Andrew Rodriguez and Lisa Bolley. She had 16 grandchildren and 17 great grandkids. Luisa was the second child of 10 siblings. Luisa was a loving daughter, sister, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Luisa is survived by her husband George of 47 years, her daughters Josie Rodriguez, Lucy (Jesus) Salinas, her step children Susana (Don) Epperson, Andrew (Lisa) Rodriguez and Lisa (Mike) Bolley. Luisa’s brother Ramon Orozco, sisters Julie Anderson, Lupe Olivas, Longina Rodriguez, Ramona Diaz, Maria Anderson. Luisa was preceded in death by her mother, father, 2 brother and 1 sister and her daughter.

Rosary will be held 6 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday August 31, 2023 at Morrison Payne Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday September 1, 2023
at the Little Flower Catholic Church in Burley, Idaho. Services will conclude with burial at the Pleasant View Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Payne Funeral Home of Burley.

Luisa era una gran trabajadora, antes de casarse comenzó a trabajar en el campo cuando era joven hasta que la contrataron en Ore-Ida y trabajó allí durante 5 años. Mientras trabajaba, conoció al amor de su vida, George A. Rodríguez Jr., y se fueron juntos después de 6 meses de conocerse. Siempre estaban juntos y iban a todas partes, como ir a pescar, acampar y ir a casinos. A Luisa le encantaba coser, tejer, le gustaba la jardinería, libros de búsqueda de palabras y pasar tiempo con su familia y amigos. Sus nietos eran todo para ella.
Luisa tuvo tres hijas, Josie Rodríguez, María Elena que murió al nacer y Lucy Salinas. Luisa también tuvo tres hijastros, Susana Epperson, Andrew Rodriguez y Lisa Bolley. Tuvo 16 nietos y 17 bisnietos. Luisa era la segunda hija de 10 hermanos. Luisa era una amorosa hija, hermana, madre y abuela. Todos los que la conocieron y amaron la extrañarán mucho.
A Luisa le sobreviven su esposo George durante 47 años, sus hijas Josie Rodríguez, Lucy (Jesús) Salinas, sus hijastros Susana (Don) Epperson, Andrew (Lisa) Rodríguez y Lisa (Mike) Bolley. El hermano de Luisa, Ramón Orozco, las hermanas Julie Anderson, Lupe Olivas, Longina Rodríguez, Ramona Díaz, María Anderson. Luisa fue precedida en la muerte por su madre, padre, 2 hermanos y 1 hermana y su hija.
