Paula Jean (Nelson) Ramey

Paula Jean Ramey, 65, Hazelton, Idaho passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday August 25, 2021.

Paula was born February 17, 1956 in Burley, Idaho to Robert and Jean Nelson, she was one of 8 children. Paula married Robyn Ramey and they were together for 48 years. Paula has one son Craig born in1973 that she shared a close bond with.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren, and she always helped out with her great grandchildren when needed. Paula worked at McCains in Burley for many years gaining multiple friendships along the way. There are many things Paula will be remembered by. Paula had a green thumb growing a huge house plant that made her dining room look like a jungle. She also loved gardening, planting flowers, and collecting old bottles. Paula's family will have fond memories of camping and fishing with Paula cooking delicious creek trout. Recipes that will be carried on with her family include her homemade salsa and her mother’s (granny's) homemade bread.

Paula is survived by her husband Robyn Ramey and son Craig Ramey; grandchildren Colton Bybee, Kenzie Ramey, Toby Ramey, Zack Radabaugh and Kelsey Chin; 11 great grandchildren; siblings Sharon Fairchild, RaeDene (Marty Gillette), Gary Nelson, Wayne (Gayetta) Nelson, Meah (Aurther) Espinoza, Linda Cutler and Darla (Mike) Legault. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles. 

The family would like to thank the doctors and especially the nurses at the Twin Falls hospital for their compassionate and kind care they gave to Paula while she was there. Thank you to all her family and friends that helped out in this time of need. 

Services will be held at the Morrison Payne Funeral Home in Burley on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 11a.m. with burial following at Hazelton Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Payne Funeral Home.
