Victoria Tekulve Cobbley, daughter of Thomas and Mary June Tekulve , of San Jose California died August 13th 2016 at the age of sixty-five. “Vickie” Cobbley passed away on the evening of August 13th after a long battle with cirrhosis. She died in her home in the company of her loving husband, Orvil James Cobbley, and her three children, Jason, Mandy, and Josh. Earning a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology from BYU and later a Master’s degree in Special Education from SJSU, she specialized in the demanding career of special education for at risk children. In this field she found fulfillment in encouraging and assisting her students to overcome and seek higher ground. She was also dedicated to service in her church and the study of her family’s genealogy. Her greatest pleasures were found in gardening, books, and in being a wife and mother. Victoria excelled in all of these fields and in every aspect of her life; in the words of her husband, “It was almost like she was incapable of doing anything badly”. She loved and was beloved of everyone who knew her. Vickie is survived by her husband, her three children, and Colby Jones, her grandson. She is also survived by her siblings: Kathy, Tom, Jim, June, Matt, Suzanne, and Mary.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at the Declo Cemetery.
