Victoria (Martinez) Muniz

Victoria Muniz, 91, of Burley, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Highland Estates in Burley surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 23, 1930 in Ojo De Cueva, New Mexico, daughter of Ramon & Cecilia Martinez. Victoria was raised with three sisters and one brother.

Victoria married Bill Muniz on July 26, 1947 in Aztec, New Mexico. They have seven children, Bill R. Muniz(Minnie), Jeffery Muniz(Martina), Rosalie Learned(Dennis), David Muniz, Cecilia Rodriguez(Manuel), Terri Muniz, Amanda Villanueva(Jorge), twenty grandchildren, thirty-eight great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Muniz, parents and siblings and one grandson Isaac F. Muniz.

Victoria was a loving mother, faithful wife, and loving grandmother. Her grandchildren were the twinkle in her eyes. She loved growing and receiving all kinds of flowers. She loved to read and watch western movies, do crossword puzzles and to listen to good country music. She will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Idaho Alzheimer's Association.

A viewing for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 7, 2022 with a funeral service held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Morrison Payne Funeral Home in Burley.  Burial will take place at the Pleasant View Cemetery following the funeral service.
